On any other day at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Daniel Galli and his four friends would not even be noticed for wearing T-shirts with the American flag. But Cinco de Mayo is not any typical day especially on a campus with a large Mexican American student population.

I read about this yesterday. How ridiculous is it that displaying this country's flag can be seen as inflammatory. If you don't like the flag and what it represents, why are you even here? More connected to this point, was there any threats of violence brought on by this particular display? These are sad times we live in...

I couldn't believe this when I read this at first... I think we forget we are great cause we fought for it, and if we sit back... everything that makes us great will be ruined

Last I checked, Cinco de Mayo isn't an American Holiday. So any argument about that being disrespectful is completely out of line.

Sort of along the same lines, I wonder why no one will even mention this sign that was at a rally in Arizona:

Wow, I can't believe it is that blatant. Do what the rest of us do: work, pay taxes, pay for your own food. Oh, and obey the laws. Then all is good!

So....could that sign be seen as a threat of violence? Seems to me the police have good cause for holding that turkey.

(He should at least get smacked in the head for that level of stupidity)
