Default Installing mud guards for a 2009 Kia Rondo
I was washing my 2009 Kia Rondo LX the other day and had to scrub and scrub to get the road junk off the rocker panels and thought, "I wonder how hard would it be to get some nice mud/splash guards and install them?" Well, I ordered a set (front and rear, Kia part #P8460 1D000 and P8460 1D100) from Amazon and got them installed this morning in about 15 minutes!

Tools Needed:
  • Right-angle screwdriver
  • Stubby #2 Philips screwdriver (optional)
  • 11mm socket and ratchet

Parts Needed:
  • Kia Accessory Part#P8460 1D000 (front)
  • Kia Accessory Part#P8460 1D100 (rear)

Step #1
Remove the 3 screws and 11mm bolt from the wheel well area where the splash guards will be installed. Unless you want to pull all 4 wheels off, I suggest using a ratcheting right-angle screwdriver for this. I purchased one from Harbor Freight for $3.99 that worked just fine for this. As a hint, there are two screws and one 11mm bolt in each wheelwell, then a third screw underneath for each corner.

Step #2
Line the splash guards up with the holes and put the screws back in!

Step #3
Admire your work!

Looks perfect! Nice job on getting those. Could also get some mud flaps!
